ShipBuddies runs one warehouse. It sits in Sanford, about half an hour north of Orlando, and it handles order fulfillment for ecommerce brands across Florida: storage, pick and pack, shipping and returns.
One warehouse is not a limitation we are working around. In Florida it is the entire argument. The state is a peninsula with one spine, and a fulfillment center on that spine reaches 19 of Florida's 22 metro areas without leaving the state. National platforms solve Florida with a node in Georgia and a promise. We solve it by sitting in the middle of it.
ShipBuddies is a third-party logistics provider, which means we hold your inventory, pick and pack your orders as they come in, and hand them to a carrier. You keep selling. We handle everything between the purchase confirmation and the doorstep.
These are the order fulfillment services we run out of Sanford for ecommerce and multi-channel sellers across the state.
Pallet and bin storage with lot and expiration tracking for products that need it. If you are in Central Florida you can drop pallets yourself and skip the inbound freight leg entirely, a real line-item saving that never appears on a national provider's quote.
Container and LTL receiving, with drayage from Florida's ports. Port Canaveral is the closest at 66 miles; Port Tampa Bay is roughly 100 and JAXPORT about 140. If you import, your goods can clear and come straight to us without crossing a state line.
Order-by-order picking against your SKU list, branded packaging and inserts, and same-day shipping and carrier handoff for orders received before 2 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday. Our order fulfillment workflow walks through each step.
Subscription boxes, multi-SKU bundles, retail-ready displays and promotional inserts. Discuss the first-run specification and approval process with our team before full assembly begins.
A client portal showing live stock counts, order status, and what is running low, with real-time sync back to your ecommerce channels so you are not overselling across Shopify and Amazon at the same time. You see the same numbers we do.
Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, WooCommerce, Walmart, BigCommerce and Etsy connect directly. Orders flow in without anyone rekeying them. Full list on our ecommerce integrations page.
FNSKU labeling, polybagging, bundling and carton compliance for shipments headed into Amazon's network, plus straight merchant fulfillment when you would rather hold the inventory yourself and ship FBM.
Wholesale and retail orders alongside your direct-to-consumer volume, including pallet-out shipments and retailer routing requirements. Most Florida brands we work with run both channels from the same pool of stock.
Inspection, restocking, refurbishment and disposition, handled here rather than shipped across the country twice. More on returns and reverse logistics.
Multi-carrier rate shopping on every order instead of a single-carrier contract you are locked inside. See shipping optimization for how rate selection works, including where dimensional weight quietly costs you money.

Florida is not Texas. In Texas or California, a single fulfillment center leaves half the state two or three days out, which is why national 3PLs push you into multi‑node networks and the extra inventory that comes with them. Florida does not work that way. The state runs 447 miles top to bottom, and I‑4, I‑75, I‑95 and Florida's Turnpike all converge within an hour of Sanford.
Here is what that means in road miles from our dock:
| City / market | Road miles | Route |
|---|---|---|
| Orlando | 23 | I‑4 |
| Daytona Beach | 39 | I‑4 |
| Lakeland | 76 | I‑4 |
| Ocala | 73 | US 441 / SR 46 |
| Melbourne & the Space Coast | 84 | SR 528 / I‑95 |
| Tampa | 107 | I‑4 |
| Gainesville | 112 | I‑75 / SR 44 |
| Jacksonville | 123 | I‑4 / I‑95 |
| St. Petersburg | 129 | I‑4 / I‑275 |
| Port St. Lucie | 142 | I‑95 / SR 528 / SR 417 |
| Sarasota & Bradenton | 154 | I‑4 / I‑75 |
| Fort Myers | 175 | I‑4 / US 17 / SR 31 |
| West Palm Beach | 187 | I‑95 / SR 528 / SR 417 |
| Naples | 211 | I‑4 / US 17 / SR 31 / I‑75 |
| Fort Lauderdale | 229 | Turnpike / I‑95 |
| Miami | 251 | Turnpike / I‑95 |
| Tallahassee | 257 | I‑4 / I‑75 / I‑10 |
Road miles calculated from our dock at 2547 Old Lake Mary Road, Sanford. Drive times vary with I‑4 traffic, so we publish the mileage rather than a number you can beat on a Sunday morning. Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach are metropolitan divisions of a single MSA, as are Tampa and St. Petersburg; the 19-of-22 count above is by MSA, using the 2023 OMB delineations.
Add those metros up and you get about 21.7 million people, roughly 92% of Florida's population, living inside that footprint, on U.S. Census Bureau Vintage 2025 estimates. A Miami customer and a Jacksonville customer ship off the same shelf on the same schedule.
Three Florida metros fall outside it: Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach and Panama City. All three are in the Panhandle, and all three are closer to Alabama than to Orlando. If most of your customers are there, tell us on the call and we will say so rather than sell you something that does not fit.
A fair objection, and one some national providers lean on: a Florida origin sits far from the Northeast and West Coast, so those lanes cost more. That is true, and it is the right question to ask. The answer depends entirely on where your customers are. If most of your customers are in Florida and the Southeast, shipping from Central Florida may be a good fit. Shipping costs and delivery times depend on the carrier, service and destination ZIP, not distance alone. If your volume is genuinely national and high enough to justify splitting inventory across regions, a multi-node network will beat us, and we will tell you that on the call. Send us a ZIP-code breakdown of last quarter's orders and we will run the zone math rather than guess at it.
Most 3PLs answer this with "it depends" and leave it there. Ecommerce order fulfillment pricing does depend on your volume, your SKU count and how much space you occupy. But you are entitled to know what it depends on before you get on a call, and to get a written rate card without one.
Fulfillment pricing has four moving parts:
Send us your order volume and SKU count and we will send back a rate card covering all four. No call required to see numbers.
The comparison worth running is not us against another 3PL. It is outsourcing against doing it yourself. Florida industrial space, as of Q2 2026:
| Market | Asking rent / sq ft / year |
|---|---|
| Fort Lauderdale | $17.67 |
| Miami | $15.73 |
| Palm Beach County | $13.69 |
| St. Petersburg / Clearwater | $11.85 |
| Tampa | $10.41 |
| Orlando | $9.52 |
| Lakeland | $8.61 |
| Jacksonville | $8.02 |
Weighted average asking rent, triple net (NNN), annual per square foot. Taxes, insurance and common area maintenance are additional, so your real occupancy cost runs higher than these figures. Source: Cushman & Wakefield, MarketBeat U.S. Industrial, Q2 2026.
South Florida rent runs well above Orlando: Miami by 65 percent, Fort Lauderdale by 86. That is before you have hired a picker, bought a rack, or signed a five-year lease you cannot exit when your volume changes. Fulfillment costs scale with your orders. A lease does not.
Changing fulfillment providers is the part everyone dreads, so here is the actual sequence:
Ask any provider you are considering to walk you through that same sequence, and ask what happens to your inventory if the relationship ends.
Florida's product economy is not evenly spread. South Florida is the state's wholesale engine for jewelry, apparel and supplements. Tampa Bay runs cigars, functional beverage and home fragrance. The Space Coast and Treasure Coast are firearms accessories and marine. Central Florida is pet, aquatics and licensed goods. We built vertical-specific handling around the categories we see most:
2547 Old Lake Mary Road, Sanford, in Seminole County. Despite the street name the building is in Sanford, not Lake Mary. Not a virtual address, not a partner facility, not a network of buildings we route around.
Two things about that location matter beyond the mileage.
It is inland. Every Florida fulfillment conversation eventually reaches hurricanes, and some national providers use storm risk as a reason to talk you out of Florida warehousing altogether. The honest answer depends on where the building actually is. Seminole County sits well back from the coast on both sides, which puts our warehouse outside the storm surge zones that drive the worst Florida logistics disruptions. A facility in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa or Jacksonville is coastal by definition. Ours is not. No Florida warehouse is storm-proof, and anyone claiming otherwise has stopped being useful to you. But the specific risk that closes coastal facilities is not the risk we carry.
It is one building, in one state. Storing inventory in a state generally creates physical sales tax nexus there. One Florida warehouse means Florida nexus. A distributed national network with nodes in four or five states can create nexus in each, along with the registration, filing and remittance work that follows. We are not tax advisors and this is not tax advice, so run it past yours. But it is worth asking any national 3PL exactly which states your inventory will sit in before you sign.
Facility detail, hours and directions live on the Sanford fulfillment center page.
ShipBob and ShipMonk are real companies that do real work, and for some brands they are the right answer. If you are shipping tens of thousands of orders a month across every region of the country, a multi-node national network beats us and we will tell you that. Here is the honest comparison:
| ShipBuddies | Typical national platform | |
|---|---|---|
| Warehouse in Florida | Yes, in Sanford | Often none. ShipBob's own Florida page states it has no Florida fulfillment center |
| Best fit | Florida and Southeast-weighted brands | Nationally distributed, high volume |
| Who you talk to | A named person who knows your account | Usually a support ticket queue |
| Sales tax nexus created | Florida | Every state holding your inventory |
Three things are missing from that table on purpose: order minimum, setup fee and contract length. The national platforms do not publish theirs. Quotes are customised, so anyone publishing a number on their behalf is guessing. Ask us for all three in writing, ask them too, and compare the answers. That is the comparison that actually decides this.

Every order ships from Sanford. The list below is about how close we are to you, not about where your inventory sits.
Outside Florida, we ship nationwide from the same building. For how outsourced order fulfillment works in general, see third-party logistics services.
2547 Old Lake Mary Road, Sanford, Florida, in Seminole County, about half an hour north of downtown Orlando. Despite the street name the building is in Sanford. It is our only warehouse, and every order ships from it.
Almost certainly not. Shipping cost and delivery speed are driven by how close the warehouse is to your customers, not to you. Proximity to you can change the cost of getting inventory to the warehouse, including the option of dropping stock off yourself. That is separate from outbound shipping costs.
All three sit inside 260 road miles of our dock, so all three ship on the same schedule from the same shelf. Ground transit times vary by carrier, service level and destination ZIP. Send us the ZIPs you ship to most and we will pull the actual transit map for your lanes rather than quote you an average. Orlando-area delivery is typically next day, depending on the carrier and service. Same-day shipping means carrier handoff, not same-day delivery.
Order fulfillment pricing has four parts: receiving, storage, pick and pack, and shipping. What you pay depends on order volume, SKU count, how much space your inventory occupies and whether you need value-added work such as kitting. Anyone quoting a flat number without asking those questions is guessing. Send us your numbers and we will price it against what you pay now.
The sequence is quote, integration, inventory transfer, parallel run, then full cutover. Integration is usually the long pole and it mostly waits on API credentials from your sales channels. We start with a slice of your orders rather than all of them, so a mapping error costs you ten orders instead of a thousand.
Yes. FNSKU labeling, polybagging, bundling and carton compliance for shipments going into Amazon's network, plus straight merchant fulfillment if you would rather hold inventory and ship FBM yourself.
Yes, from the same pool of stock, including pallet-out shipments and retailer routing requirements. Most Florida brands we work with run both channels.
Contact our team with your order volume, SKU count and fulfillment requirements. We can discuss your needs and provide a quote.
Sanford is inland, in Seminole County, which places the warehouse outside the coastal storm surge zones that cause the worst Florida logistics disruptions. That is a structural advantage over coastal facilities in Miami, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale or Jacksonville, though no Florida warehouse is storm-proof.
Yes. We ship nationwide from Sanford. Florida and Southeast-weighted brands get the most out of the location, but the warehouse ships wherever your customers are.
Storing inventory in a state generally creates physical nexus there, so a Florida warehouse means Florida. The relevant comparison is that multi-state networks can create it in several states at once. We are not tax advisors, so confirm the specifics with yours.
