There is a question worth asking a fulfillment company in this part of the state that almost nobody asks, and it is not about your busy season. It is about theirs. Not when you are busy, but whether their other customers are busy at the same moment you are.

Order fulfillment for Fort Myers and Cape Coral brands

The physical work stops being yours. Stock arrives and is counted against the notice you sent ahead of it, then given a fixed home so the number on your screen still matches the shelf in six months. Orders come through from your storefront on their own, get picked and boxed to rules you wrote rather than rules we assumed, and go out on the carrier and service selected under your agreed shipping rules. Kits are built here. Returns are opened, inspected and put back where you said to put them. The service list, the switching sequence and the way the pricing is built are all on the Florida order fulfillment page.

The question is not when you are busy. It is when everybody else is.

Southwest Florida runs on a calendar of its own, and the clearest public measure of it is the airport. The Lee County Port Authority reported 1,521,149 passengers through Southwest Florida International in March 2026, and its chief executive called it the best single month in the airport's forty-three year history. In July 2026 the same authority reported 680,168.

Passenger figures reported by the Lee County Port Authority for March 2026 and July 2026. Same authority, same year.

Passengers are not parcels and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What that number establishes is narrow and it is worth being precise about: this region has a season, the season is large, and it does not sit where the national retail season sits. Whether your own order volume follows it is a question only your own data answers. A brand based here that sells nationally may have a year that looks exactly like everybody else's, in which case none of what follows is about you.

But if yours does follow it, the thing to understand is that fulfillment capacity is shared and it has a ceiling. A warehouse has so many people who can pick, so many doors, so much rack. None of that flexes on demand. Which means the useful question about a provider is not whether they can handle your peak in the abstract. It is how much of their floor is already spoken for in the exact weeks you need it.

A provider whose customers are drawn mostly from one region, selling into one season, hits its ceiling with all of them at once. Everybody wants extra pickers in the same fortnight. Everybody wants more rack in the same month. Nothing is being done wrong and nobody is lying to you; the arithmetic just does not work, and what it looks like from your side is orders going out a day later than usual, exactly when a day matters most.

Four questions, and we should have to answer them too

None of this is knowable from a website. It is knowable from asking, and these are cheap questions that get expensive answers.

Put those four to us as well and we will answer them plainly. If you would rather start with numbers, send a monthly order count and a rough storage footprint and we will price the four lines it breaks into.

A hundred and seventy-five miles, and two ways to drive it

The short way is not an interstate, which surprises people. It runs I-4 west for about fifty miles, then drops south on US 17 for another sixty and SR 31 for thirty-six more before the last few miles on SR 80 into the city. Only about fifty of the hundred and seventy-five miles are interstate at all. The one toll on it is a short stretch of SR 417 at our end, and you can stay off that.

The other way is I-75 through Tampa, interstate the whole distance, and it is 232 miles rather than 175. Fifty-seven extra miles, plus the tolled run across the Selmon Expressway. Here is the part worth knowing: at free-flow speeds our routing model makes the short way the quicker of the two, about four hours against four and a half. We would not bet on that holding in traffic on a surface road, and we are not going to tell you which one to drive. Both numbers are above, the mileage is the firm part, and if anybody quotes you a drive time for this trip it is worth asking which route they meant.

Road distances and drive times calculated with OSRM at free-flow speeds, from our verified dock coordinates and from Fort Myers City Hall, the same method used on every location page on this site. Free-flow means an empty road, so treat the miles as firm and the minutes as a best case.

Where you sit in the county moves the number. Cape Coral is about 179 miles and Lehigh Acres 181, both close to the city figure. Estero is 189, Fort Myers Beach 192 and Bonita Springs 197. Naples, one county south, is 211.

Fort Myers fulfillment FAQs

Do you have a warehouse in Fort Myers?

No. There is one warehouse and it is in Sanford, 175 road miles northeast of you. The street address, the hours and the way in are all on the Sanford page.

How do I find out when a provider is actually busiest?

Ask them for the month, out loud, and ask what share of their customers share it. There is no public source for this, so the question is the only instrument you have. A provider who has thought about seasonal demand across their customers will answer straight away. One who has not will say something about being ready for anything, and that is also an answer.

Does a provider being busy at the same time as me actually cost me anything?

It can, and the mechanism is not mysterious. Pickers, dock doors and rack are finite and they are shared. If the whole customer list needs more of all three in the same fortnight, something gives, and what gives is often the day an order goes out. It is worth asking about in advance precisely because nobody is doing anything wrong when it happens.

Is the drive really four hours?

For the 175-mile route, yes, roughly, and it is not an interstate run. The all-interstate alternative through Tampa on I-75 is 232 miles. If somebody quotes you a drive time for this trip, it is worth knowing which of the two they are quoting.

Is it tolled?

The short route has one tolled stretch of SR 417 at our end and you can stay off it. The interstate route through Tampa adds the Selmon Expressway, which charges.

Does shipping from Sanford instead of Lee County change what my customers wait?

For some addresses yes and for others no, and the size of it turns on your carrier and the service you buy rather than on anything we are in a position to promise you here. Every destination shifts by its own amount when the origin moves. The way to settle it is with your own numbers: send last quarter's destination ZIPs and we will lay both origins out side by side.

How is your pricing put together?

Stock in, stock held, order picked and boxed, parcel moved. These are the main cost categories. There are no platform fees. Ask for pricing for any materials, returns, kitting or other services your account needs. Ask every provider you speak to for all four, because a number that only covers storage is not a quote. The Florida page works through each one.
